Candise discovered acupuncture and herbal medicine in the midst of her own healing crisis. Having struggled for years with anxiety, insomnia, as well as various chronic aches and pains, she was more than willing to join in when a dear friend invited her along to try acupuncture. It only took one session for her to decide it was worth returning. And she did, week after week. Feeling and doing better with each treatment.
The following year, she enrolled in acupuncture school, herself, and graduated in 2015 with a Masters of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 2016, Candise became a state-licensed acupuncturist and herbalist. She currently practices both in San Francisco and in the East Bay, and connects deeply with her patients. As a trauma-informed acupuncturist, Candise bases her care on the values of non-judgment, compassion, and gentle inquiry.
Candise is also passionate about women's health and wellness. She believes in supporting and empowering her patients in their journeys, at whichever point they may currently find themselves, through all stages of life. With compassion and deep respect for each woman’s process, she offers heart-centered support to patients who may be working on reclaiming their own health and wellbeing, as well as to those engaged in supporting the growth of new life.
When she isn't treating patients, Candise can be found reading, stretching, journaling, exploring new coffeeshops, and creating tasty, new homemade recipes to share with friends and family.
